2012 September ~ Recently bought the Cinematic Strings 2 Kontakt library having been impressed by the sound of the strings in the demos. Here is a recently completed piece using the library especially the legatos, spiccatos & pizzicatos. |

August ~ Photographer Niall O'Cleirigh is working on a series of images of the Dublin area coastline from Bray to Howth. You can see some of these photos here & listen to the music I composed to accompany his slide show.

January ~ The start of a new year. Here are some recordings made during November & December 2010. The three pieces were played by me on a Kawai upright piano & recorded with a crossed pair of small diagphragm microphones.

November ~ Some new photos of the studio taken with Hipstamatic on the iPhone.
October ~ New music composed solely with the Evolve Mutations Library & the Kontakt 4 Library. This piece uses contasting time signatures so that as the patterns repeat new harmonies are generated.
September ~ I have started teaching a 10 week music technology course at the Xmusic Academy. The academy is run by Conor Guilfoyle & you can find out more details about the courses on offer here:
July ~ The Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra will be touring China. Two of my compositions: Hannah's Air & Donal-Doo are included in the concert tour's repertoire.
